I grew up around signs. My dad Chub Temple and his friend Jim Arrants moonlighted in the sign business.  They had a shop in our small town and I would often watch and occasionally go with them to a job.  After high school I went to college for a while, then went to welding school and had a short career as a pipe welder.  Cathy and I were in love and near ready to partner in life.  Dad said he would help get us started in a sign business so we rented a building and opened Signs by Scotty in May, 1976.  But, I must say it has really always been “Signs by “Cathy” and Scotty.”  We were married later the same year.

     Ten years later we painted our finest.  Our daughter Cody blessed our home.  Now Cody

has  made us Grandparents with her beautiful daughter Jocelyn.

     We love what we do.  We love doing it together.  We love our Lord Jesus Christ.

We have a lot of the same hobbies and interests.  We love our friends,  we play golf,  we fish and shrimp, we like the lake and the coast and the mountains, we enjoy Bluegrass music and we have a couple dogs.  “Saluki” is the breed.  They are sight hounds and believed to be the oldest breed and also the fastest.  They are beautiful animals and real athletes.  Here are a few pictures if you’re curious.
